The feeling of Hue

As I had study fashion, I know that the component of fashion is not easy things. Colors, Texture, Style, and Cutting ……Each of them can be a very in-depth subject. Moreover, the skills to combine all of them!

Color, looks directly. Analogous, Achromatic and slit complements color combinations. The name looks easy but not that easy when u apply them in to a collection. Thousands color can be use. Which is better? Which can be better? Such questions are making the color element to be complicated.

Report Part B: Forcasting for the Christine Dior FW09

Form the Part A report, I expect the following colors for Christian Dior FW09 Collection

Even Color or Pattern, as the first person, uausally not change too much season to season. They still got some link to each other. We can find in the SS09Collection, there are most on Black, White and Orange. And also some Pink - the designer-john love to use this color very much.

I expect that the coming season Black and white is still trendy enough to use in most part of the collection, expecailly Black. The Financail tsunami has a great impact for the whole world. People may want some deep color to get more security sense.
Wine Red is John's favour, so I think in the comming season, CD will keep that for exiting people.
Yellow seems can not without color in John's collection, in order to has a contrast to red.The Creamy Yellow is developed from the natural trendy topic.
Orange is a color from red and yellow. Review the pass season's collection, John has use Orange much more and more then before.
Moreover, some new color or natural colors is more acceptable for wear nowadays. As we are the new finder, John has use many new find color few years ago. I think that should keep Green and Blue to make the collection more interesting and comely.

Coloe Family FW09:

Here is my collection for CD FW09:

As John Galliano is crazy in matching colors and faultily to use complementary color. I designed this collection continues the style from John Galliano. In the pass season, CD’s collection are always has a belt to show out a women’s body shape. Always performing a X shape or y shape. As the Designer, minimized his enlarge, extra style. WE still can find many characteristics in the collection.

The gradient red color with bows in complementary yellow color.
Some creammy yellow graphics softly bright in the Green. And as a Slit compliments color system, Lilac has added.
Animal patterns are representing the primal.
Check is famous by the school look. In the collection, It has changed into a more fancy, high end look.
The spot can make ladies more attractive and increasing their body esthetic.
Indispensable, an outfit is not only in one hue or complement the color of the top and the bottom. The differences of the hue chrome, the color complement in one top. Analogous color system can also use to vary the collection.

Color forecast form the Designer:


Christian Dior has change the Director since 199 - John Galliano. He is a crazy man who love to use many colors to enrich his collection. Especially WHITE, BLACK, RED, VIOLET, ORANGE, GREEN and BLUE.
Even for the make up, hairstyle, stage & the pops he would like to maximum things and make it outstanding. John has become more and more famous recent year on the fashion society.

Christian Dior has over 70 years history, form 1947, THE NEW LOOK to now, CD still had made a major impact to the fashion. CD always plays the leading in the fashion trend. So, CD has always changing their color and style to be the First Person. But As a designer, we know that a consistent color, style can give others a strong image, besides the brand logo. CD has change colors in different color family, but CD keeping to use black and white color in the pass!

From the Trend:
In the marketing core effectiveness we can find the, the world is changing to be more keep an eye on environmental protect. Organic, Primal, Pure, Natural, Ethnicity are become a hot topic. Light-colors are become more and more used in design.
Moreover, for a new century, space seems more near to us, not so mystery like the pass. We are chasing to know the future. So some futuristic color – Silver, Gold has reheated. Some roundness and softness matters are appeared.

By the way, John Galliano can do what he like in his own brand, but not in a history brand – Christian Dior. What I had describe that CD had her own color style. So, in the financial view and also the customer behavior forces. The marketing director may force the designer to follow the colors which CD used for. It is needed for retain to their customers and it is easier to build up brand’s loyalty.

Designing color collection exercise

There are some collection I have pained.

In the beginning, I just full in one color in one part of the garment, then I try to devided more parts of the garment. At last I draw some patterns to enrich the collection. in order to vary more collection and develop a better collction color design when using limmited colors!

This two outfits are only using a Achromatic hue.But they are not bored or dull caused by the light shadow!

The layers and gathers can reflected different colors in different tints, shades and tones.

For the lace pants, it is related the density of the fabric, higher desity parts looks more darker. The low density parts combines with the skin color, so that lighten the fabric color.
